Camila Cabello is a Cuban-American singer. She rose to fame as a member of the girl group Fifth Harmony, formed on The X Factor USA in 2012. Camila Cabello then went on to a highly successful solo career.

Camila Cabello was born March 3, 1997, in Cojimar, Havana. As a child, she lived in two countries, moving from Havana to Mexico City and back. At the age of five, she and her mother relocated to the United States and settled in Miami. Camilla’s father was unable to obtain a visa at the time and later joined the family a year and a half later.  

X-Factor debut

In the summer of 2012, She auditioned for The X Factor, Cabello failed to audition as a solo artist, so the judges offered her a place in a women’s band, which later became Fifth Harmony. The group took third place on the show and signed contracts with Syco Music and Epic Records.
